We are happy to welcome you on our site! Giving everyone access to the wonderful and eternal world of music, reviving old traditions of musical improvisations, authentic performance of baroque and classical music – these ideas accompanied the birth of the chamber orchestra “The Instrumental Capella”. The Capella`s peculiar timber is being created not only by it’s staff (string and wind instruments, a harpsichord) but as well by a new approach to the interpretation manner, attention to the urtext, re-creation of a chamber performance style typical of musical culture in the 17-18 centuries. Really, it was the baroque and early classicism epoch that gave rise to the “capella” term relative to orchestras. The orchestra’s repertoire consists of baroque and classical European music of the 17-19 centuries and the pieces by Russian composers of the same period. |
